God Forgives… I Don’t!

The story opens with a train running into a town, its passengers massacred and left as casualties. A survivor identifies Bill San Antonio, contradicting the belief that Cat had shot him in a duel. This event seeds the movie's flashback structure and sets the chase in motion.

Hutch, an old acquaintance and now an insurance man, informs Cat that Bill is indeed alive. He also confirms that the gun Cat used in the duel was handed to him by Bud. Cat, unsettled, slips away at night with Hutch's horse to begin piecing things together.

Cat, followed by Hutch, tracks down Bill's new gang and sneaks into their hideout. They locate the gold box taken from the train and haul it to a hiding spot down by some cliffs. The discovery deepens Cat's obsession with the fortune and the risk of betrayal.

Using Hutch's strength, they move the gold into a ground cache, but a rift forms between them as Cat demands a larger share than the insurance payout. The alliance frays just as Bill and his gang close in, escalating the tension. A stark question of trust underpins their next moves.

Bill's gang returns and a funeral is held for the dead, though the burned body cannot be identified. After the service, the gang learns the loot is missing, with Bud accusing Cat of stealing it. Suspicion grows as alliances crumble and loyalty wears thin.

Following the funeral, Bud vanishes from the gang while Cat is repeatedly attacked by other gang members. Cat manages to kill several assailants, leaving Bud's disappearance as a troubling mystery for Bill's crew. The target remains the hidden gold and the man who knows where it lies.

Cat tracks Bill to a cantina in a Mexican village where Bill brings two bandits. Cat dispatches the two henchmen, and Bill is taken at gunpoint. Bill proposes sharing the money and forgetting Hutch, but the offer is fragile and fraught with mistrust.

Inside Bill's lair, Hutch resists interrogation as Bill's men press for information. Bound and blocked, Hutch uses his strength to break free, then shoots the attackers who break in, turning the tide of danger in Cat's favor. Hutch's defiance solidifies his alliance with Cat.

At the gold site, Cat plans to recreate his first duel with Bill but with dynamite in play. The fuse burns as they posture, and Hutch interrogates the scene from a safe distance. Bill shoots Hutch, Cat wounds Bill's hand with a thrown knife, and the two men draw revolvers for a brutal finish, even as Bill crawls toward the dynamite.

The explosion erupts as Bill desperately reaches the dynamite and meets his end. Cat carries the unconscious Hutch to cover, and both men survive the blast, though wounded. The scene shifts to the wagon carrying the gold, where the two begin to reckon with what comes next.

Hutch comes to aboard the wagon, still bearing the head wound, with the bags of gold within reach. Cat notes that Hutch will need medical attention for the bullet and that they must decide the fate of the gold once Hutch regains strength. The uneasy alliance endures amid uncertain futures.

The narrative closes on the tension between Cat and Hutch as they ride off with the gold. Bud's earlier suspicion and the missing loot linger as unresolved threads, hinting at ongoing peril and moral ambiguity. The pair move forward under a shadow of possible betrayal and further violence.
