The events take place in the year 3008, a distant future of interstellar travel and space policing. The crew must endure a 27-year voyage to reach Altair One, necessitating cryogenic sleep for most of the trip. The era blends futuristic androids, aliens, and galactic governance with campy sci-fi humor. Technology enables advanced spaceships, androids, and robotic antagonists within a playful space opera.

Infinity is the Intergalactic Space Police cruiser patrolling deep space, led by an inept captain and crewed by a mix of humans and aliens. The ship pauses at an asteroid for a detour to a brothel before continuing toward Altair One. Altair One is a hostile prison planet with a town where aliens and humans collide, including a restaurant that serves humans as food to alien patrons. The setting shifts from shipboard life to surface chaos and brig confinement as the adventure unfolds.
