Leela's leech drops to the ground, revealing the final Dark One. The violet dwarf embryo forms into a giant manta ray-like Encyclopod that engages the Dark One, and the battle ends with the Dark One defeated by the Encyclopod. Hutch is killed in the struggle, and Frida's necklace is pulled from Fry's forehead, costing Fry his telepathy.

Escape through the wormhole; final kiss

The Encyclopod defeats the Dark One and the crew, along with the eco-feminists and Kif, flee aboard Planet Express. Nimbus pursues them toward a wormhole that Professor Farnsworth warns could send them trillions of light years away.
