Set in the early 1990s, the film follows Greek youths Thomas and Achilleas as they flee into Albania with a boy, Nikos, whose mother was killed by Albanian guards. Back in Athens they are labeled “Albanians” and barred as outsiders. After Thomas dies on a construction site, the two return to the Albanian village, as they have no place in Greece.
