Fright Night 2: New Blood

A woman at an isolated gas station is attacked by a supernatural figure in the middle of the night. She tries to fight back by setting the creature on fire, but his flames have no effect. The entity overpowers her and drinks her blood, establishing the threat of a real vampire.

Charley Brewster, Evil Ed Bates, and Amy Peterson are college freshmen on a semester abroad in Romania. Charley, remorseful after cheating on Amy, tries to win her back. They soon cross paths with Gerri Dandridge, their Romanian art teacher, who behaves strangely and exudes a dangerous charisma.

One night Charley witnesses Gerri making out with a woman and later feeding on her. Later that same night he sees Gerri with a man, draining him dry. Gerri uses telekinetic powers and the scene reveals her vampiric nature, including rejuvenating blood baths in her tub.

Charley escapes the house with a shocking discovery and goes to Amy's apartment to warn her about Gerri. Amy initially refuses to believe him and urges him to leave her alone. The danger grows as Gerri continues to stalk them.

Charley and Evil Ed search online for clues and discover the legend of Elizabeth Bathory, who supposedly achieved eternal youth by bathing in blood. They learn the vampire Bathory is ancient and still alive across generations. The revelation helps connect Gerri to a centuries-long curse.

Evil Ed convinces Charley to seek help from Peter Vincent, host of a horror show filming in Romania. They find Peter in a strip club and, after initial skepticism, pay him to accompany them. He reluctantly agrees, and the team heads toward Gerri's house with Amy along.

On a subway car, Gerri sits in wait with blood-red eyes that only Peter notices. The vampire attacks, and Evil Ed sacrifices himself to allow the others to escape. Gerri drains Ed's blood and transforms him into a reluctant vampire minion.

Gerri pursues Charley and Amy through tunnels beneath the city, using a sonic scream to tear through walls. The couple are cornered but manage to slip into a church where Gerri cannot follow. They realize Amy's blood is needed to break Bathory's curse.

Charley tracks Peter to the airport and gets wooden stakes, garlic powder and holy water. Peter explains a key detail: if a vampire is killed at dawn, the humans turned the previous night would regain their humanity. Gerri abducts Amy to force the ritual forward.

Charley arrives to confront Evil Ed, who attacks him. Charley defeats Ed by pouring holy water down his throat, destroying him. He then finds Amy but cannot bring himself to kill her; Amy bites Charley, turning him into a vampire but freed from Gerri's control.

Peter arrives and stabs Gerri, but she remains formidable. Dawn approaches, and Charley uses his new vampiric sonic scream to break the room's windows, letting sunlight in. They escape by sheltering under Bathroy's giant blood bath to survive the sunrise as Gerri is burned by the light.

Gerri is destroyed and her curse is broken; Amy and Charley are human again. Evil Ed's death is mourned, and the trio walk away heroically, with Amy and Charley sharing a kiss as the credits roll.
