As Mason prepares for his trip, his wife, Jenny, expresses her deep concerns about the dangers he may face. She worries that their daughter, Casey, could grow up without her father if this mission goes awry, highlighting the emotional stakes involved.

Upon arriving in Paldonia, the team is met with chaos as they are ambushed by anti-Venegas militants, destroying their vehicles. Mason's combat instincts kick in as he fights off the attackers, leading the group into the safety of the dense jungle.

As they attempt to gather information, Jan Koehorst's forces attack the village, capturing Claire. Mason, along with Venegas, manage to escape, setting the stage for further confrontations with the regime.

On their way to the capital, Venegas discloses that he did not kill Mason's teammates, challenging Mason's perceptions of the past. Their journey solidifies an uneasy alliance as they plan their next steps.

In a tense trade for Claire's release, it is revealed that the revolution is a facade crafted by Venegas. During this exchange, Venegas uses clever tactics to distract Jan Koehorst, allowing them to slip away to the presidential palace.

While at the palace, Venegas pressures Jorge to improve the country's governance. However, their plans derail when General Martínez intervenes, leading to Jorge's shocking assassination, creating further turmoil within the regime.

As Jan's forces invade the palace, an intense shootout unfolds. Mason confronts Jan, who admits to killing his comrades, leading to a climactic battle where Claire captures the action on film, crucially aiding Mason in emerging victorious.

In the aftermath, Claire's footage revitalizes her career and sparks a political transition in Paldonia. Venegas steps down, paving the way for democratic elections, and Mason returns home to his family, receiving a generous payout that allows him to leave the law firm behind.
