In the quirky town of Dillford, Ohio, three distinct groups—humans, vampires, and zombies—coexist in a delicate balance. The vampires hold the upper hand in societal hierarchy, while zombies are subjected to strict controls, living in isolated quarters away from humans.

Dag, a self-proclaimed school nerd, sets out to lose his virginity to Lorelei, the most desired girl at school. Driven by a need to prove his worth and escape the label of failure, Dag's journey quickly faces numerous challenges.

Rick Wilson, the grumpy baseball coach and meat factory manager, unjustly fires all human workers to replace them with cheaper zombie labor. This decision creates emotional turmoil for Dag and his family, fueling the simmering frustration among the humans.

During a baseball practice, Dag is ridiculed by Rick, which causes him to choke on his pitches. In an unfortunate accident, he injures a star athlete, further compounding his embarrassment and frustration.

Petra, a social outcast, unexpectedly transforms into a vampire after a romantic encounter with Milan, the school's charming playboy. However, her hopes for a deeper connection are shattered when Milan cruelly rejects her.

Dag's former best friend, Ned, faces alienation at home due to his academic pursuits. In a rebellious act, he ventures into the zombie quarter, willingly allowing himself to be bitten and embracing the undead life.

As Dag's attempts to bond with Lorelei escalate, the peaceful existence in Dillford is shattered by an unexpected extraterrestrial invasion. The ensuing chaos ignites fierce conflicts among humans, vampires, and zombies.

In the midst of the pandemonium, Dag and Lorelei seek refuge in a house. Their safe haven quickly turns into a nightmare when they are besieged by a horde of vampires, resulting in Lorelei appearing lifeless due to Petra's jealousy.

In their desperate flight, Dag, Ned, and Petra find temporary shelter in Stuart Miller's underground lair, which serves as a hideout for those escaping the chaos. Tensions rise as Petra and Ned are driven by their hunger, threatening those around them.

The alien forces launch an assault on the high school where Dag and his friends are hiding. As fear mounts, Ned chooses a path of isolation, leading to a breakdown in his friendship with Dag.

In a moment of ingenuity, Dag and his companions uncover the aliens' weakness to organic materials. Utilizing items made from natural fibers, they prepare for a confrontation with their extraterrestrial foes.

Dag, Petra, and Ned are captured by the aliens, confined with other Dillford residents. In a shocking twist, Lorelei appears transformed into an enchanting vampire, challenging Petra's confidence and unity amongst the captives.

Dag convinces Rick to allow the townsfolk into the meat processing plant, where the aliens are drawn by a mysterious substance called Tetrafluoraxipan. This leads to a chaotic confrontation between the aliens and townspeople.

In an unexpected turn of events, Dag transforms into a werewolf during the chaos, using his new abilities to save his friends. This change allows him to thwart Milan's attempts to eliminate Petra, culminating in Milan's accidental demise.

After Dag pitches a bomb into the alien ship, the explosion vanquishes the extraterrestrial threat. As peace is restored to Dillford, Dag makes a bold choice, rejecting Lorelei in favor of embracing a relationship with Petra.
