Frankenstein’s Daughter

Trudy Morton experiences a recurring nightmare of a monster in the streets at night. Johnny dismisses the visions as fantasies, but the story reveals that her nights hide a real transformation caused by a Digenerol formula from the private home lab. The danger begins to bleed from dream to daylight as the monster within her leaks into the world.

Carter Morton and Oliver Frank, with lab assistant Elsu, work on Digenerol in the private home lab. Their motive is disease elimination, but Oliver’s obsession grows as he dreams of creating a perfect being. The home lab becomes the cradle for the experiments that will unleash Trudy's monstrous alter ego.

With the project stalling, Carter breaks into Rockwell Labs to steal the Digenerol required for their experiments. The theft ties the Morton family to the wider monster mystery and kicks off a chain of escalating dangers. The stolen chemical becomes the fuel for both transformation and ambition.

A monster in a swimsuit attacks a frightened woman, and the police spot Trudy’s monstrous form and fire at her, failing to stop the threat. Oliver grabs the distraught Trudy and drags her back to the Morton home to recover. The night terror spills into the private sphere of the family.

The next morning, Carter asks Oliver about a newspaper story describing a Frankenstein monster. Oliver defends the Frankensteins, and Mr. Rockwell from Rockwell Labs visits to discuss the Digenerol theft and its connections to the current scare. The day expands the conspiracy beyond Trudy.

Elsu accidentally enters through a secret door while Carter and Oliver work, and Oliver shoves him out. In the distraction, Carter knocks the Digenerol bottle from Oliver’s hand, spilling the entire supply. Carter resolves to steal more to keep the project alive.

Suzie Lawler visits Trudy and a date with Oliver goes badly when he attempts to force himself on her. He accelerates his plan by running Suzie over with his car, killing her and underscoring his chilling view of power and brains as currency for his creation.

Oliver begins the reanimation process, while Carter returns with more Digenerol and is nearly shot by a warehouse guard. Carter also suffers an angina attack, heightening the tension and risk surrounding their dangerous experiments.

The reanimated creature moves from the lab to a freight depot and kills a warehouse worker. A second worker, Mack, calls the police, marking the start of an escalating manhunt and a wider public scare.

That evening, the monster arrives at the Morton front door. Trudy screams and faints, and Elsu coaxes the creature into the lab where it can be contained and studied, shifting the threat from the street to the lab itself.

Johnny visits to check on Trudy while Oliver manipulates him into thinking she’s imagining things. Police question Carter about Digenerol; Carter says Oliver tried to kill him, while Oliver claims Carter is mentally ill and Carter is arrested. Carter dies in custody, and Trudy learns of his death, complicating loyalties and escalating the crisis.

Oliver reveals the monster is his creation and plans to transplant Trudy's brain into it. The monster kills Oliver in the ensuing struggle, and Trudy and Johnny flee as the lab catches fire from the climactic chaos. The dream of a perfect being ends in flames, with Trudy and Johnny left to face the aftermath.
