A funny yet sad tale of mismatched love, family and life, adapted from Alla Sokolova’s play. Faratyev is surrounded by four women: he’s passionately in love with Aleksandra, compassionately cares for his aunt, and remains indifferent to Aleksandra’s mother and her sister Lyuba. Each character lives in a dream‑filled world where their fantasies intertwine. Aleksandra, a realist, marries Faratyev for her family’s sake but ultimately runs away with the mysterious Bedhudov, while Lyuba alone seems to understand him.
