Born to the king and queen of a fairy‑tale realm, a princess is cursed by a scorned witch who, angry at being excluded from her birthday, vows that on her sixteenth birthday she will prick her finger on a spinning‑wheel spindle and fall into endless sleep. In response, the king orders every spinning wheel destroyed and bans the number sixteen. Yet a wandering prince arrives, carrying his own curse that may alter her fate.
