Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal

At Jackson High, the Fab Five—Brooke, Jeri, Lisa, Ashley, and Tabitha—establish themselves as the school's mean girls, bullying peers and flouting rules. Their petty schemes include repeatedly getting coaches fired after disagreements or driving them to quit, while administrators fail to punish them.

Emma Carr arrives as the new cheerleading coach and clashes with the Fab Five as they test boundaries. Brooke objects when Carr assigns Meagan Harper as co-captain, signaling a challenge to their dominance.

At the pep rally, the Fab Five perform with confidence, showing off skills they've perfected. Drama erupts when Ashley is kissed by Jeri's boyfriend, prompting the others to eject her from the group and rebrand as the Fab Four, though Ashley remains on the squad.

Carr attempts to discipline the squad, canceling practices and removing Jeri from the team. The girls respond with defiance, setting the stage for a longer power struggle.

The Fab Four sneak drinks and are caught trying to leave campus by a security guard and the principal. Their misstep deepens the rift with the administration and hardens Carr's stance.

The girls tell the superintendent they were tired after a test and wanted to sleep, prompting Carr to confront the principal and superintendent. The administrators offer excuses and threaten to dissolve the team if punishment continues.

During the next practice, Carr inspires them to learn the hard liberty stunt. She discovers Lisa cheated on a test and penalizes her, while Tabitha accepts Carr's 'fresh start' eraser.

As revenge for Jeri's ejection, the girls show the superintendent a photo of Carr hugging another teacher and claim an affair. During a discipline meeting for Jeri, Carr is accused of flirting and not formally punishing the girls.

At the next practice, the squad struggles to perform the liberty stunt, but Carr motivates them to persevere. She confirms Lisa's cheating and cancels practice again, sending an email apologizing to the cheerleaders.

Carr visits the school and is fired by the principal; as she prepares to leave, she is confronted by the girls. She then learns a reporter is researching cheerleaders gone wild and gives an interview about the events.

The independent investigator reveals the allegations against the Fab Four and administrators are true, clearing Carr. Lorene and the assistant principal are suspended from their jobs, and Brooke is pulled from the school.

Brooke departs Jackson High with her mother, cameras capturing the moment as the Fab Four lose their places on the cheer squad. Carr is left upset, and she does not get her job back.

Four months later, Carr watches the girls at a cheer competition and is welcomed with praise and hugs, including a newly reformed Ashley. Cindy later writes an essay about Carr, revealing that her actions helped change the school.

The new cheerleaders compete and perform the previously troublesome stunt, earning applause from the crowd. Carr feels proud and vindicated, recognizing the positive change she helped bring about.
