Evil Bong 2: King Bong (2009) – Full Plot Summary & Ending Explained

Read the complete plot breakdown of Evil Bong 2: King Bong (2009), including all key story events, major twists, and the ending explained in detail. Discover what really happened—and what it all means.

Sometime after their last encounter with Evil Bong and Eebee, Larnell, [John Patrick Jordan], a college student, finds Alister McDowell, [Brett Chukerman], waiting at his dorm doorstep and is greeted with a line that still stings a bit for him: > “I almost didn’t recognize you” (a nod to Alister’s recasting). The moment sets the mood for a reunion that will test their friendships in unexpected ways. Alister McDowell explains that something is wrong with him and his roommates Bachman, [Mitch Eakins], and Brett, [Brian Lloyd], who each face bizarre new afflictions: Bachman has become narcoleptic followed by amnesia, Larnell is overwhelmed by uncontrollable sexual urges, and Brett is plagued by an insatiable appetite that has him rapidly packing on pounds. The group realizes they need solid information and potentially a cure, not just a patchwork fix, and they decide to seek help from Rabbit, [Sonny Carl Davis], the delivery man who first brought Eebee to their world.

Rabbit arrives to trade information for marijuana, and his practical, streetwise tone helps steer the group toward answers. He reveals that Jimbo Leary, [Tommy Chong], bought the infamous bong in the Amazon decades earlier while working for the Peace Corps. The tale is grim: after half the friends die from smoking Eebee, Jimbo locked her away in his attic, a secret that eventually fed the disaster that unfolded in the first film. With this new clue, the five men—Larnell, Bachman, Brett, Alister, and Rabbit—decide to journey to the Amazon in a bid to uncover a cure and a possible way to reset what ails them.

In the jungle, they meet Velicity, [Amy Paffrath], a determined researcher who is continuing the work of her recently deceased father and his partner. Velicity explains that her father discovered a prehistoric strain of marijuana cultivated by an ancient people, the Poontang Tribe, and that this strain might have healing properties for serious health problems and injuries. Velicity has found evidence that the marijuana could help the fragile conditions plaguing the group, and she operates with the hope of donating it to cancer patients. As Larnell and Rabbit dig around Velicity’s hut, they uncover a hidden stash of marijuana behind it, guarded by Velicity’s partner Cyril, [Jacob Witkin], who is unexpectedly mobile and walking instead of using a wheelchair. Cyril’s presence raises questions about what Velicity’s research has unleashed, and Velicity herself becomes a critical ally in understanding how the ancient marijuana works.

Inside the hut, Velicity pieces together more of the mystery: Eebee’s damaged face fragments are clearly Poontang craftsmanship, linking Eebee directly to the ancient tribe. The marijuana smoke revives Eebee, prompting Velicity to take the pieces to Cyril and confront him about his role in this dangerous resurgence. When Cyril rebukes Velicity for her naivety, she escapes in frustration, but she’s determined to press on. In a twist, Eebee—still embittered by King Bong’s alleged infidelity—offers to help if Cyril agrees to restore her original form, and Cyril agrees to the exchange, hoping to regain control of the situation.

Rabbit returns with news of a deal that Cyril might cut, but Cyril’s plan is quickly exposed when three Poontang Tribeswomen appear, their spears ready. They overpower Cyril and seize Rabbit and Eebee, dragging them into a larger, skull-shaped bong with eyes—the famed King Bong. Eebee is placed on an altar beside King Bong, and the two share a complicated history that hints at a power struggle that dates back to their own romance. Rabbit, forced to smoke, is drawn into the Bong World and becomes another pawn in the struggle for power.

Cyril bleeds back to the hut and warns the others, who—led by Larnell, Velicity, Alister, Bachman, and Brett—set out to rescue Rabbit. They confront King Bong and hypothesize that he is more formidable than Eebee, with the ability to pull a person’s entire being into the Bong World rather than just their soul. The team understands that their only chance to stop him is to destroy his source of power: a necklace that acts as a beacon and control mechanism.

The rescue mission unfolds with high tension and surreal imagery. Bachman and Brett descend into the Bong World first, where they’re danced upon by two nude tribeswomen before being captured and brought before King Bong. Meanwhile, Larnell and Alister follow, discovering Rabbit rolled up in giant paper, transformed into a colossal joint. King Bong can shrink this giant form down to a normal size with his necklace, which the crew uses as a tactical setback. They untie Bachman and Brett, and together they mount a full-on assault on the tribe.

The turning point comes when Larnell shatters King Bong’s necklace, severing the source of his power and sending the group out of the Bong World. With King Bong defeated and his hold broken, the trio of Eebee’s rivals is left to reckon with the aftermath. Despite Eebee’s protests to not abandon her on the altar, the others press on and escape back into the waking world. The film closes with the group returning to comfort and camaraderie in Larnell’s dorm, smoke curling into the air as everything finally returns to its familiar rhythm.

In the end, the uneasy alliances, strange powers, and past relationships are set aside to emphasize friendship and resilience. The world returns to normal—at least on the surface—with the five men sharing a quiet moment, each aware of how the journey reshaped them. The tale circles back to the idea that some mysteries are best left in the shadows, yet there is a stubborn hope that knowledge and solidarity can guide them through even the strangest of trials.
