Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale

Elle Daniels has always aspired to be a famous singer-songwriter. Her dreams are momentarily shattered when her parents' plane crashes on the day of her audition for Berklee College of Music, leaving her devastated. She then moves in with her uncle, Allen, who runs Spunn Records, to start anew.

Elle takes a job as an intern at Spunn Records, supporting the label's biggest act, the bubblegum pop group Sensation led by Stephanie. Despite feeling humiliated, she bonds with fellow intern Kit while making phone calls to radio stations and running errands. Her aspirations remain alive in the background.

Famous pop singer Ty Parker visits Spunn Records seeking a new direction to revive his career. He considers a duet with British pop star Kandi Kane, which sparks interest in trying something different and risky. Elle becomes inspired by his passion for change.

Encouraged by Kit, Elle starts singing again and records a song called 'Love is with Me Now'. Ty hears her and mistakes her for Kandi Kane, being impressed by her voice. Elle plays along but leaves upon receiving a late-night message from Uncle Allen, feeling guilty about her deception.

Realizing she over-recorded Sensation's single and feeling guilty about her lie, Elle disguises herself to avoid detection. Meanwhile, Ty becomes frustrated when he finds out Kandi is not who she claims to be, leading to tension and confusion.

Determined to find the talented singer he met, Ty teams up with TJ but fails to locate her. Sensation and Kandi reveal Elle's involvement, mocking her. Elle decides to take a chance on true love, and with Kit's help, she publicly reveals her talent through a song performance.

Elle performs her song, facing insults from Sensation and Kandi. Ty comes to her rescue, offering comfort and support. They start dating, and Ty reassures Elle that her talent is genuine, instilling confidence in her future.

With Ty’s encouragement, Elle auditions for Berklee once more. She collaborates with Ty on a song called 'Fairytale', but Kandi returns with threats, forcing Ty to break up with Elle to protect her from legal trouble and her manipulative schemes.

Andy, Kit, and Elle uncover that Kandi is actually Brenda Smirkle, a girl using a false identity to make money. They gather proof, and Allen advises Brenda to leave before authorities get involved. Stephanie and the others flee after their secrets come out.

Elle sneaks onto the stage for her audition, with Ty supporting her with his guitar. She impresses the judges by singing 'Fairytale', earning her a spot at Berklee. She forgives Ty, and they share a heartfelt kiss, believing in fairy tale endings.

Elle graduates from Berklee, Ty's album goes triple Platinum, and Kandi (Brenda) goes missing. Stephanie becomes a wig model, while Kit and Andy open a detective agency. The movie closes with a cheerful reprise, celebrating the characters' happy endings.
