From Boat People (1982) to Our Time Will Come (2017), Venice Career Golden Lion‑winner Ann Hui turns her focus to poetry, interviewing Hong Kong’s leading poets. She contrasts the free‑spirited Huang Canran with the cosmopolitan Liu Wai‑tong, revealing differing personalities, ideals and lifestyles. A moving highlight is late writer Xi Xi reciting her poem about the former Kai Tak Airport.
