Earth and Blood

During the heist at the police station's evidence room, two criminals are killed and the remaining two escape with eight kilos of cocaine. The operation spirals into violence as the getaway turns deadly. The drugs are now in the hands of the survivors.

Saïd undergoes a CT scan and discovers he has carcinoma with little time left. The diagnosis forces him to confront his future and his family needs. He steels himself for the difficult road ahead.

Saïd visits his sister-in-law to discuss selling the sawmill and assures her she will receive her share. He explains that the money would secure Sarah's future, including her postsecondary studies.

Yanis, on parole, teams up with his half-brother and one of the surviving criminals. They decide not to hand over the drugs to Adama and plan to hide them at the sawmill. Yanis also schemes to switch cars to facilitate the operation.

Yanis switches cars with his half-brother to avoid suspicion and moves the drugs to the sawmill. The switch helps conceal the stash and keeps Adama's gang off balance.

Saïd tells his speech and hearing impaired daughter Sarah about using the sawmill money for her education. He then meets a buyer and shows him the sawmill, trying to secure a legitimate purchase. The tension between family hope and crime is clear.

Adama captures the two surviving criminals and executes one of them on the spot by snapping his neck. The gang's reach and ruthlessness become more evident as the threat closes in.

Saïd interrogates Yanis and learns that the drugs are hidden in a truck at the sawmill. He locks Yanis inside the sawmill and tells Sarah to stay indoors as he goes out to seek help. The clock starts ticking for a police response.

Moussa, Adama's brother, goes to the sawmill to retrieve the drugs and threatens Sarah with a gun. Saïd shoots him, removing another obstacle and tightening the noose around the trio.

Saïd frees Yanis and brings him and Sarah inside the house. Adama arrives and cuts the telephone lines, severing contact with the outside world. Yanis notes that the cops are projected to arrive in about twenty minutes.

Saïd hands Yanis a shotgun and sends Sarah to escape through the woods with Yanis. He uses himself to lure and distract the gang, giving them a chance to run for safety.

Saïd lures the gang into traps and eliminates several members before the sawmill is set on fire. He escapes in a heavy log-loading vehicle and drives off into the woods, using the vehicle's weight to crash a pursuing car and kill a gang member.

Yanis and Sarah flee deeper into the woods and hide in a shed; Yanis is stabbed while attempting to strangle a henchman. Sarah runs to a farmhouse for help, and Saïd arrives to help, but Yanis dies from his injuries.

Adama and another henchman arrive; Saïd uses a tied-up henchman to distract them and kills the other henchman, but Adama returns fire, seriously wounding him. The stand-off ends with Saïd's counterattack.

Adama tries to kill Sarah, who is trapped on an upper floor, but a determined Saïd arrives and kills Adama with an axe. Sarah is rescued as a police helicopter appears overhead, bringing the ordeal to an end.
