Dracula’s Widow

Raymond Everett receives a delivery of six crates of antiques from Poenari, Romania, even though only five were expected. He is anxious as he signs for the extra crate, setting a mysterious tone for what’s to come. This unopened crate begins the chain of supernatural events.

A sleazy patron at The Blue Angel jazz bar flirts with a mysterious dark-haired woman who later departs with him. They drive to a secluded park, where she abruptly kills him, hinting at something dangerous beneath Hollywood’s glitz. The scene establishes the vampire’s predatory nature.

Two thieves break into the Hollywood House of Wax while Raymond watches Nosferatu upstairs. A creature with webbed hands and dagger-like nails attacks one thief, ripping his throat and draining his blood with a long tentacle from its mouth. The other burglar escapes, leaving a chilling clue behind.

The mysterious brunette enters the room where Raymond sits and, after a short battle of wills, bites him and takes control. He is forced to renounce his girlfriend, Jenny Harker, as the vampire asserts her influence. The possession marks a turning point for Raymond’s loyalties.

The next day, Lt. Lannon and partner Citrano are summoned to the park crime scene. A clue left in the grass leads them to The Blue Angel, but the witnesses offer little help. The investigation hints at a supernatural culprit behind the murders.

Raymond tries to free himself from Vanessa’s hold but fails. He instead cleans up her mess, attempting to maintain normalcy until Jenny arrives. The day shows his struggle to resist the vampire’s influence.

As night falls, the creature strikes again, this time killing a night watchman who is watching a news report about the park murder. The attack confirms that the threat is ongoing and intensifying. Raymond remains under the vampire’s control as the danger grows.

Vanessa summons Raymond to a car and demands that he return her to Romania to her husband, Count Dracula. Raymond counters that Dracula is dead and Van Helsing is responsible for his demise. This exchange deepens the tension between Raymond’s humanity and the vampire’s hold.

The burglar provides a crucial lead to the authorities, though the details are fraught with fear. Van Helsing’s aged grandson reveals vampires survived only in Vanessa, Dracula’s wife who is both beautiful and monstrous. In the morgue, Van Helsing reanimates Vanessa’s first victim to prove the undead danger.

Lannon visits Jenny to learn more, and she later meets with Raymond, who gives her a cross to protect herself. The cross deepens her involvement in the case and signals a shift toward collaboration. The plan is to locate Vanessa and exonerate Raymond.

Vanessa slays Citrano and Helsing during the night, triggering a crackdown that leads to Raymond’s arrest. The wax museum is swept for evidence as the investigation intensifies. The truth about vampires seems closer to being uncovered.

In custody, only Lt. Lannon believes Raymond. He and Jenny locate Vanessa, and the two distract the beast in a vacant warehouse. Raymond then kills Vanessa with a final strike, regaining his humanity and ending the immediate threat.
