Dracula vs. Frankenstein

Wheelchair-bound Dr. Durea operates from a secret laboratory concealed behind the Creature Emporium on Venice's boardwalk. He and his mute assistant Groton pursue a blood serum that could cure his paralysis and Groton's condition. The lab doubles as the site of a series of gruesome experiments on young girls.

Durea and Groton begin murdering young girls to obtain blood for the serum. Each death is framed as a step toward a cure for Durea's legs and for Groton's affliction, with Durea insisting that fear-borne components will power the serum.

Count Dracula arrives at the lab, offering to help revive Frankenstein's monster in exchange for Durea's serum. He hopes the serum will let him walk in daylight, making him nearly invincible.

The duo exhumed Frankenstein's monster from Oakmoor Cemetery and bring it back to life in Durea's laboratory. The revived creature is set loose under Dracula's influence as a new instrument of revenge.

Dracula and the newly revived Monster set out to confront Dr. Beaumont, the man who discredited Durea and caused his injuries in a laboratory fire. They intend to settle old scores and prove the power of the undead alliance.

Las Vegas showgirl Judith Fontaine lands in the city, searching for her missing sister Joanie who was last seen with a hippie group. After trying to obtain help from Sgt. Martin, she decides to investigate on her own.

Judith becomes entangled with the hippie circle headed by Strange, and Mike Howard, an aging free spirit who agrees to help find Joanie. They venture to the Creature Emporium, attempting to gather information, while Durea denies having seen Joanie.

As Joanie's disappearance deepens, the Monster goes on a rampage, killing two police officers while trying to abduct a girl for Durea's experiments. The fear and chaos underline the serum's emergent power.

Groton heads to the beach armed with an axe, killing Rico and his gang to prevent rape of Samantha. He hauls Samantha into Durea's laboratory via a trap door and ladder, bringing her into the heart of the operation.

Judith and Mike, having fallen in love, discover the trap door and the laboratory. Durea explains that Joanie's and Samantha's fear-filled deaths created the enzyme that powers his serum, and that Judith's fear during Mike's death could complete the serum.

Durea sends Groton and Grazbo after the couple; Grazbo falls through a trap and onto an axe, killing him. Sgt. Martin and Strange arrive with the police; Martin shoots Groton from a rooftop, sending him to his death. As the escape attempt unfolds, Durea is pulled into a guillotine and beheaded.

Dracula hypnotizes Judith and binds her with rope to a railing. He confronts Mike, who shoves a lit car flare at the Monster, forcing it to briefly attack Dracula in pain. Mike unties Judith and they attempt to flee, but Dracula blasts Mike with fire from his ring, burning him to ashes.

Judith awakens bound to a chair in an abandoned church in a forested area outside Venice, where Dracula's coffin is hidden. Dracula is about to drink her blood and make her his vampire bride, but the Monster—now protective of Judith—turns against him. The Monster removes Dracula's ring, and the sun destroys Dracula as he stumbles toward his coffin. Judith frees herself, finding Dracula's ashes, and, after a flashback of all that has happened, drops the ring and flees in fear.
