On a sunny Florida road, Donald Duck and his three nephews, Huey, Louie, and Dewey, cruise in Donald’s car while the boys are deeply absorbed in a comic book. They barely notice an old Spanish fort nearby, and when Donald tries to reclaim the comic, the nephews erupt in a temper tantrum, forcing him to hand the book back. The mood is light, but the heat and a stubborn engine begin to complicate things.

The car starts to overheat, and Donald scrambles to find a source of water to cool the radiator. He discovers a tiny pond with a sign that reads “This spring was mistaken for the Fountain Of Youth.” Seizing a chance to teach the boys a lesson—albeit in a mischievous way—he decides to stage a dramatic reverse-aging ruse. He rips off the top half of the sign, leaving only “The Fountain of Youth,” then calls for help while donning a baby bonnet and acting like a curious toddler. The sight of a “baby” Donald breaks the tension and draws the boys’ attention away from their comic book.

As the boys stare in disbelief, Donald’s outrageous baby act escalates, and they conclude that a form of discipline is needed. They head off to find a branch to use as a switch, yet Donald has his own plan. He quietly steals an egg from a nearby sleeping American crocodile, places it where he had just stood, and gently places the baby bonnet on the egg to fool the boys into thinking he has regressed even further, perhaps to an egg himself. He watches from a hidden spot, side by side with the crocodile that had just woken up, and the tension between deception and danger quietly builds.

When the crocodile discovers the missing egg, she lashes out with her tail and knocks Donald to the ground, sending him dizzy as he sits atop her egg. She launches a chase after the triplets, who toss the egg in a panic toward the place where Donald is standing. The egg bounces, but soon the eggs hatch, and the newborn crocodiles imprint on Donald, believing he is their father. The sequence escalates into a scramble as Donald endures a concussion and slides into a daze, just as the boys notice his unsteady gait.

Reunited with the triplets, the baby crocodiles approach Donald with excitement, and the family makes a frantic dash for the car to escape. The crocodile, longing to reclaim her offspring, follows, but the imprinting lingers too strongly for the babies to recognize their biological mother at first. The mother croc lets out a quack that unsettles the youngsters, and gradually, the hatchlings come to accept her, restoring the natural balance even as Donald’s raucous escapade winds down.
