Cooper and Wells rescued to an isolated house

During the retreat, Corporal Bruce is impaled by a tree branch and killed. Sergeant Wells is attacked but is rescued by Cooper. They are carried to a rural roadside where Megan, a zoologist, finds them and drives them to an isolated house, bringing Wells, Cooper, Spoon, Joe, and Terry to safety.

As darkness falls on a full moon, the house is surrounded by attackers who are revealed to be werewolves. The soldiers barricade themselves and fight for survival. They hope that sunrise will revert the creatures back to humans.

Terry is abducted, and ammunition runs short, forcing the survivors to acknowledge they cannot hold out much longer. Cooper and Wells decide to attempt an escape to safety, hoping to reach daylight before the werewolves overwhelm them. The plan hinges on a risky withdrawal from the house.

Bombing the barn and Megan's betrayal revealed

Using a Land Rover and petrol, the survivors blow up the barn in an attempt to flush out the werewolves. Megan then reveals there were no werewolves in the barn and confesses she is a werewolf from the Uath family, having unlocked the back door to let others in. Wells shoots her in the head and the group braces for a final stand.

Wells and Cooper retreat upstairs to escape the werewolves, while Spoon fights a werewolf in the kitchen. He gains the upper hand briefly but is killed by a second werewolf. The two remaining soldiers pull back to the kitchen and assess their dwindling options.

Wells's final sacrifice to blow the house

Wells orders Cooper to take shelter in the cellar as the werewolves close in. He cuts a gas line and blows up the house, sacrificing himself but ensuring the others have a chance to escape. Cooper narrowly survives the blast, crawling toward safety.

Cooper defeats the werewolf version of Ryan at dawn

As the sun rises, Cooper attempts to leave but is confronted by Ryan in his werewolf form. In a brutal fight, Cooper stabs Ryan in the chest with a silver letter opener and shoots him in the head. The danger of the werewolves is finally confronted as daylight strengthens their weakness.

Cooper and Megan's Border Collie Sam emerge from the cellar. Cooper's firsthand account of the events, titled 'Werewolves ate my platoon!', appears in a sensationalist tabloid newspaper alongside the England vs. Germany football match results.
