Chavez finds herself pursued by a relentless demon in the chaotic void between universes. Alongside a variant of Doctor Stephen Strange, they narrowly escape the demon's grasp, setting the stage for their perilous adventure together.

In their quest for the Book of Vishanti, a mystical tome with immense power, the duo faces tremendous danger. Tragically, Strange is killed by the demon, leading to a crisis that forces Chavez to react in unexpected ways.

Desperate and grieving, America Chavez inadvertently opens a portal transporting herself and Strange's lifeless body to Earth-616. Here, the local version of Strange intervenes to save her from another demon, showcasing her importance in this narrative.

Once on Earth-616, Doctor Strange learns of Chavez's unique powers and the threat she faces. He realizes that the other Strange sought the Book of Vishanti, but failed, prompting him to seek further mystical assistance to protect her.

Doctor Strange turns to Wanda Maximoff for help, unaware of her dark turn. Having embraced her identity as the Scarlet Witch after acquiring the Darkhold, Wanda is consumed by the desire to reunite with her lost children.

Wanda issues a chilling ultimatum, demanding the surrender of America Chavez by sundown. When Strange resists, Wanda launches a brutal assault on Kamar-Taj, resulting in significant losses among the sorcerers.

In a moment of high stress, Chavez and Doctor Strange transport themselves to Earth-838. However, they discover that Chavez’s inability to control her powers means they cannot return to their original universe easily, complicating their quest.

In Earth-838, Strange and Chavez encounter the Illuminati, a powerful council that reveals the dangers associated with using the Darkhold. They disclose that their Strange faced execution to prevent creating a catastrophic 'incursion.'

Just as the Illuminati plan to judge Strange, Wanda reestablishes her dream-walk and massacres the council members. This displays her terrifying power and resolve to capture Chavez, further complicating the heroes’ plight.

Strange, Chavez, and Christine Palmer flee from Wanda after her assault. They venture into the liminal space, searching for the Book of Vishanti, highlighting the continuous danger posed by Wanda's relentless pursuit.

In a climactic moment, Strange battles a corrupted version of himself from a devastated universe. This confrontation leads to Strange using the Darkhold to dream-walk into his deceased counterpart, marking a significant turning point in the narrative.

With Wong's help, Strange inspires Chavez to harness her powers against Wanda. In a dramatic emotional confrontation, Chavez ultimately manages to transport Wanda to Earth-838, pushing her to confront the consequences of her actions.

As Wanda confronts her fears regarding her children, she realizes the harm her actions have caused. In an act of self-sacrifice, she collapses Mount Wundagore, destroying the Darkhold throughout the multiverse and seemingly ending her dark reign.

With order restored, America Chavez continues her training alongside the remaining sorcerers at Kamar-Taj. Doctor Strange, now marked with a third eye, prepares for the uncertain future, hinting at new adventures in the multiverse.
