Gopala Krishna is a bank employee who is nearing 40 years of age. He married a naïve woman named Bhavani at the age of 18 because of his grandmother’s request, thereby sacrificing his true love. Since then he has toiled hard for survival and settles down around 35 with two kids: Madhu, an engineering student, and a younger school-going child. He also flirts with younger women for a bit of mental satisfaction, a habit that irks his friend Sathyam, whose own marriage is strained by a jealous and suspicious wife.
A 21-year-old aerobics trainer, Samhitha, enters their world and is admired by both Krishna and Madhu—though neither knows the other’s feelings. Samhitha is actually Madhu’s college senior who paused her studies and now has to repay a loan at the bank where Krishna works. Both men befriend her and fall in love, all the while unaware of the developing rivalry between them. To help Samhitha, Krishna even secures a loan from a local gangster.
On Samhitha’s birthday, Krishna visits her and proposes marriage. Madhu sees this from a distance, is crushed, and ends his ties with Samhitha, deciding to protect Bhavani, whom Krishna holds dear. He attempts in every way to drive a wedge between Krishna and Bhavani but failing to do so, and the couple goes ahead with a marriage registration at Arya Samaj.
On the day of the wedding, Bhavani visits a temple, and with information from Samhitha, the police nab and interrogate Madhu. He reveals that he loved Samhitha and wanted to marry her. The ensuing turmoil leads Krishna to confront the truth that he is already married to Bhavani, a revelation that unsettles the already fragile situation. The tension escalates, and Samhitha contemplates legal action against the trio, but after recognizing Krishna’s genuine change, she drops her plans. Krishna then unites with Bhavani, and Samhitha forgives the couple and leaves, while Madhu looks on.

Krishna married Bhavani at age 18 because his grandmother insisted on an arranged marriage. He sacrificed his true love to fulfill his grandmother's wish and secure familial stability. By doing so, he provided a future for Bhavani and established his life, though he always carried regret for not being able to marry the woman he truly loved.
The summary mentions Krishna's habit of flirting with younger women for mental satisfaction, hinting at his unresolved feelings about his marriage.
Krishna pursued Samhitha because he was emotionally unfulfilled in his marriage to Bhavani, whom he married out of obligation rather than love. Having sacrificed his true love years ago, Krishna sought emotional satisfaction through younger women. When he met Samhitha, he genuinely fell in love and even helped her financially by securing a loan through a gangster connection.
Earlier scenes show Krishna flirting with women, establishing his pattern of seeking emotional escape from his marriage.
Madhu ended his relationship with Samhitha because he was devastated to learn that his own father was pursuing the same woman. Rather than compete with his father or risk breaking up his family, Madhu chose to step aside. He decided to protect his mother Bhavani, whom Krishna still held dear, and tried instead to separate his parents to somehow claim Samhitha.
Madhu witnessed Krishna proposing on Samhitha's birthday, which directly triggered his decision to withdraw.
Samhitha discovered Krishna's marriage status through the events leading up to his wedding day. When Krishna and Bhavani proceeded with their marriage registration at Arya Samaj, the truth became unavoidable. Samhitha had been helping Bhavani gather information, which ultimately led to the police intervention on the wedding day.
Samhitha had been building trust with Bhavani, which allowed her to learn details about Krishna's family situation.
Samhitha informed the authorities about the wedding because she felt betrayed and deceived by Krishna, who had proposed marriage to her while already being married to someone else. Her information led police to interrogate Madhu, who revealed his own love for Samhitha and desire to marry her, creating a complete revelation of the complicated love triangle.
Samhitha's contemplation of legal action earlier hints at her willingness to seek justice for the deception.
Krishna secured a loan through a local gangster because Samhitha needed money to repay her existing bank loan. Using his position as a bank employee, Krishna leveraged his influence and connections to help her, demonstrating how far he was willing to bend rules for her sake. This also tied Samhitha's financial future to criminal elements.
This act foreshadows the moral compromises Krishna makes throughout the film for romantic pursuits.
Samhitha dropped her legal case after recognizing that Krishna had genuinely changed his ways. Instead of pursuing revenge, she chose forgiveness. After witnessing the truth unfold and seeing Krishna reconcile with Bhavani, Samhitha decided to let go of her anger and move on with her life.
The story's tone of forgiveness and reconciliation sets the stage for her decision.
Madhu attempted to separate Krishna and Bhavani because he believed that if his father's marriage fell apart, he might have a chance with Samhitha. Heartbroken after witnessing Krishna's proposal, Madhu tried every possible way to drive a wedge between his parents. However, his attempts failed because Krishna remained committed to Bhavani, and their marriage ultimately progressed to formal registration.
Madhu's failed schemes directly lead to the wedding day confrontation where all truths emerge.
Samhitha forgave the couple because she saw genuine change in Krishna and recognized that their family situation was complicated. Rather than pursuing revenge or dragging everyone through legal battles, she chose to let go of her hurt. Her forgiveness allowed Krishna to reunite with Bhavani while she herself walked away to start fresh.
Samhitha's character arc throughout the film builds toward this moment of grace and self-respect.
Madhu lost Samhitha to his father's reconciliation with Bhavani. After all the truth came out, Krishna's marriage, Madhu's own feelings for Samhitha, and Samhitha's decision to forgive, Madhu was left watching as his father reunited with his mother. The film ends with Madhu coping with this loss, having sacrificed his chance at love to protect his family's honor.
Madhu's choice to step aside earlier in the film directly leads to this bittersweet conclusion.
