An Italian high‑school student obsesses over a woman he sees from his classroom window. Her fiancé is jailed for a radical cause, so she often appears in court to support him. After initially rejecting his advances, she eventually begins an affair with him. Their relationship is condemned by her family and his father, the woman’s psychologist.
