Death Bed: The Bed That Eats

In 1897, a demon falls in love with a woman and conjures a bed on which to make love to her. When she dies during the act, the demon weeps tears of blood that fall on the bed and awaken its life. The bed becomes dangerous whenever it is awake, capable of feeding on human victims.

The demon's sleep cycles leave the bed dormant for ten years at a time, during which it remains inactive but malevolent. When the demon awakens, the bed's power returns and its appetite for victims is unleashed.

Only one man, the artist Aubrey Beardsley, is spared, and the bed condemns him to immortality behind a painting. He must forever witness the bed's victims and cannot intervene, existing in a fixed stillness as the world passes by.

Over decades, the bed passes from owner to owner, leaving a trail of carnage in its wake. Each new owner unwittingly awakens the bed and invites the cycle of terror back into daily life.

A young couple trespasses into the abandoned mansion where the bed lies. They make love on the bed, and the bed devours them, feeding on their life force. The bed tears at the house with telekinetic force, destroying most of the structure except for the room that houses it.

Diane, Sharon, and Suzan discover the remnants of the destroyed house while traveling the countryside. The bed strangles Suzan with her crucifix necklace before devouring her, but it bleeds in agony at a woman who resembles its mother, revealing its origin. The artist realizes the pain is triggered by the resemblance, and Suzan's brother begins searching for his sister.

One of the two remaining women sleeping on the bed awakens to find the bed beginning to eat her. She is dragged back into the sheets and eaten, leaving the other woman trying to flee the room. The survivor's brother remains out searching for her.

The brother finally locates the surviving woman, but the bed traps them both in its suffocating hold. He attempts to rescue the previously eaten woman, yet the bed bites his hands to the bone, preventing any escape.

The demon creator falls asleep, rendering the bed powerless and allowing the artist to communicate with the woman. The artist outlines a ritual that could destroy the bed if carried out.

The surviving woman carries out the ritual, which teleports the bed out of the room and revives the bed's real mother. The act comes at a terrible cost, as the surviving woman is killed in the process.

The bed's mother completes the ritual by having sex with the brother, triggering the bed to burst into flames and die. With the bed destroyed, the demon's control ends and the artist can finally pass on.

The ritual's success frees the artist from centuries of witness as the bed's horror ends. The cycle is broken, and the artist, at last, can move on from his eternal vigil.
