Bloodbath at the House of Death

In 1975, Headstone Manor, a secluded estate that functions as both a businessman’s weekend retreat and a girls’ summer camp, becomes the scene of a grisly massacre. A group of satanic monks infiltrates the house and brutally kills 18 occupants in a chilling, ritualistic frenzy.

By 1983, the manor has earned the locals’ nickname the House of Death and has grown into a magnet for odd phenomena. Doctor Lukas Mandeville, Kenny Everett, a former German surgeon who once went by the name Ludwig Manheim, teams up with Doctor Barbara Coyle, Pamela Stephenson, and a squad of scientists to investigate unusual radioactive readings coming from the property. As they set up their equipment, the enigmatic Sinister Man, Vincent Price, a seven-hundred-year-old Satanic priest, begins plotting a complex ritual in the surrounding woods, aimed at purging the estate of intruders.

Mandeville shares his background, revealing that his celebrated medical career ended in disgrace and that his pursuit of the paranormal was born from a sense of professional humiliation. He is shown as someone who channels that past into a relentless, often sardonic curiosity about the unknown. Coyle, meanwhile, confronts a mischievous poltergeist, triggering a blend of terror and wit as practical investigation clashes with the supernatural. The two scientists experience a surprising and intimate connection, a moment that complicates their professional boundary and adds a charged undercurrent to the investigation.

As the house grows more unstable, it becomes a stage for chaos: satanic clones of Mandeville, Coyle, and the other scientists begin to appear, killing their originals and assuming their places. Coyle narrowly avoids the same fate when the poltergeist intervenes, though the encounter results in the creation of a clone of her. The eerie duplication stretches reality and raises the stakes for everyone involved, shaking the group’s grip on what’s real and what’s imitation.

In a final, disorienting twist, the audience learns the truth behind the monks: they are extraterrestrials using the House of Death as a base for their otherworldly activities. They depart Earth aboard a spaceship, leaving the mansion to its strange new order. The film closes on a surreal note, merging horror, science fiction, and farce into an unusual, offbeat finale that lingers in the mind with its audacious blend of genres.
