East Mission, Oregon is hit by a full-scale zombie outbreak. The government-run FEZA establishes a quarantine zone where infected are treated with Zombrex to prevent transformation, but the center's batch fails to take effect for many, triggering chaotic transformations.

Amid the collapsing city, Jordan Blaire manages to slip out of East Mission while Chase Carter remains with Crystal and Maggie to face the spreading danger. The escape marks a split in the survivors’ paths as the outbreak accelerates.

Chase, Crystal, and Maggie hole up in a pawn shop to weather the chaos. They encounter Logan and his anarchist biker gang, who infiltrate the city to impose their own brutal control amid the chaos.

Jordan arrives at a military safe zone overseen by General Lyons and Dr. Norton, seeking protection and information as the situation spirals outside the walls.

From outside the city, Jordan informs Chase about the government's plan to firebomb East Mission. In response, Chase goes on the air to deny the official narrative and challenge the political cover-up.

Chase’s group learns of a warehouse where the government’s Zombrex is stored and obtains its location, setting up a potential test of whether the batch is defective.

Crystal tests the government Zombrex against her own supply, and the results show the government’s batch is defective. The public is enraged, and Lyons is forced to postpone the firebombing.

In a bid to find closure about her infected daughter, Maggie allows herself to be bitten by a zombie during the warehouse confrontation, embracing a deluded hope that her daughter might still be alive.

Logan captures Crystal and reveals his intent to bomb the city walls to spread the outbreak further. A brutal struggle ensues, resulting in Logan’s death and infection as he is bitten by a zombie.

Lyons holds a press conference and publicly accuses Norton of distributing defective Zombrex, escalating the conspiracy narrative and signaling a shift toward greater government accountability.

Lyons announces a plan to implant yearly Zombrex chips in the infected to keep them controllable, while Norton warns about tracking. Jordan discovers a military truck carrying the chips, realizing the outbreak may be a pretext for control.

Chase and Crystal reach the city wall while pursued by zombies and the transforming Logan. They are taken into the safe zone, where Crystal is implanted with the tracking chip to ensure compliance.

Norton is killed as part of the cover-up, and Jordan is captured, but she slips her phone to Chase to keep the line of truth open, ensuring a lifeline for what remains of the resistance.

As the city is engulfed in fire, Chase and Crystal uncover the government's true plans behind the outbreak and the Zombrex chips, exposing the conspiracy that drove the crisis.
