Dead Men Don’t Die

Barry Baron, a veteran news anchor, begins to suspect that a drug-smuggling operation is operating out of his own building. He digs for clues, following leads through the newsroom and hallways. His pursuit draws dangerous attention from criminals who will do whatever it takes to keep their operation hidden.

Barry is chased and shot dead by the drug dealers inside the TV station building. The killing is sudden and shocking, sending shockwaves through the newsroom as the investigation stalls at the outset. Viewers and staff are left reeling as the case grows more perilous.

Dulcie Niles discovers Barry's body and immediately calls the police. She prepares to film the investigation, becoming the on-scene reporter who pushes the story forward even as danger looms around the station.

Chafuka, the building cleaner, steals Barry's corpse and uses voodoo to reanimate him as a zombie. With the body under her control, she takes over Barry's luxury apartment and begins manipulating the broadcasts to suit her needs.

Barry, otherwise unable to speak, is forced to deliver news through Chafuka's control. The on-air performances preserve appearances while the real danger outside grows.

Dulcie teams with Detective Jordan Penrose to probe the drug ring, but their progress is hampered by incompetent police and bureaucratic obstacles. They press on, following clues through the station and its surroundings.

Nolan sees a Barry broadcast and suspects his henchmen bungled the murder. He orders them to finish the job, and they travel to the station to confront the problem, only to meet a string of disastrous mishaps. Chafuka steps in by turning the mishaps into zombie transformations.

Chafuka reanimates Nolan's henchmen as zombies, causing Nolan to panic and seek refuge with station owner Alex Cavanaugh, who is the mastermind behind the drug ring. The siege tightens as undead threats multiply around the station.

Cavanaugh captures Dulcie and Jordan, forcing Nolan to drive them to safety while Barry, Chafuka, and the zombie henchmen give chase through the station. The pursuit tests loyalties and the limits of courage as chaos erupts on air and off.

Nolan loses control of the car during the chase, and both he and Cavanaugh are killed in a crash. Chafuka reanimates them as zombies, expanding her undead security network around the station.

Barry's original personality returns and he resumes lead anchor duties, but the station is now fully under Chafuka's control. The newsroom becomes a power center for the voodoo-enabled rule over the airwaves.

Jordan quits the police to become the station's head of security, while the zombie Nolan and his henchmen remain as guards under Chafuka's command. The station settles into a new, eerie normal with the undead as its unseen security.
