A late-night jog ends with Eric sleeping on the sofa, tormented by a nightmare of alien abduction that returns him to Lisa's disappearance. He visions a strange creature carrying her away. Waking, he clings to the idea that everything is fine, even as fear grows.

Lisa is truly missing. Eric tries to convince himself that nothing is wrong and that she will return. The search yields no answers, pushing him into a trance-like focus on the color of her lips as they move while he talks to no one.
