In New York City, German agents arrange for Jane Greystone (Nancy Coleman) to take a taxi driven by one of their own men. The abduction almost succeeds, but a collision with another vehicle sends both the driver and Jane to the hospital in an ambulance attended by intern Dr. Michael ‘Mike’ Lewis (John Garfield). On the way, Jane regains consciousness and claims to have amnesia, unable to recall who she is.
