Daaku Maharaaj

In 1992, Balwant Singh Thakur and his elder brothers oppress the villagers of Bajrangpur, forcing them to work in marble quarries while denying water. The people suffer as the Thakurs consolidate power and extract profits from their misery. The villagers seek relief and approach Sitaram and his wife Kaveri to find a solution that could help the drought-stricken area.

Sitaram goes on a killing spree and invades the Thakur residence, only to find Balwant and his eldest brother absent. He ruthlessly murders the second brother and reports Balwant's atrocities to Nandini. Troubled by the bloodshed, Sitaram abandons his engineering post and becomes a feared leader, earning the title Daaku Maharaaj.

With help from across the country, Maharaaj and his henchmen halt the quarry operations that supported Balwant's empire. Balwant's elder brother abducts Kaveri and several villagers to locate Maharaaj, but Maharaaj confronts and kills him.

Nandini, Balwant's wife and the district head (DC), reveals that she helped move Sitaram and Kaveri to Chambal, hoping they would aid the people. Balwant quickly learns of Sitaram's whereabouts and of the illicit narcotics trade tied to the marble mines.

Following Nandini's information, Maharaaj abducts Udham Singh and compels him to confess about their illicit narcotics operation under the cover of marble mining. The exposé threatens Balwant's grip on the region.

Balwant tortures Nandini to extract loyalty and injures Vaishnavi, heightening the danger to the family. Maharaaj arrives to defend them, fighting Balwant while villagers attack the Thakur palace.

With Nandini's report, Maharaaj exposes Balwant's narcotics trade to the government, triggering action against the mines. As a result, the mines are shut down and the dam project is greenlit to aid the region's people.

Nandini dies from her wounds and asks Maharaaj to entrust Vaishnavi to Krishnamurthy and his family. The loss deepens the resolve of all involved to continue the fight for justice.

In 1996, Krishnamurthy reports illicit wildlife trade at his Madanapalle tea estate and refuses Bablu Singh Thakur's partnership. Trimurthulu Naidu is drawn into the confrontation as Bablu's methods clash with Krishnamurthy's stance.

Bablu visits Krishnamurthy to press the deal, but Krishnamurthy's refusal leads Bablu's men to attack his residence and the estate to harvest the crop. When Trimurthulu questions Bablu's methods, Bablu cuts his throat and worsens the conflict.

SI Janaki and Govind try to ward off the assassins, while Inspector Stephen Raj traces Maharaaj and, rather than exposing him to Krishnamurthy's family, takes him away benevolently. This keeps the dangerous truth from reaching the family at that moment.

Maharaaj regains consciousness and defends the family, rescuing Vaishnavi and fatally wounding Balwant. He is severely injured in the process and admitted to a hospital, but the threat to the family is neutralized for the moment.

Vaishnavi is revealed to be Nandini's daughter, leaving Krishnamurthy devastated for having driven Nandini away. The revelation deepens the emotional stakes and links the families in their shared history.

Years after these events, Maharaaj is released from prison and reunites with Kaveri and his son. He inaugurates the dam built in Nandini's name, symbolizing justice, reconciliation, and the enduring fight for the region's welfare.
