Bill Capa, a renowned psychoanalyst in New York, attends to wealthy clients with pressing psychological issues. During one of his sessions, his patient Michelle arrives visibly distressed, seeking help but not receiving the compassion she desperately needs from Bill.

In a moment of deep despair and feeling dismissed, Michelle takes a tragic step and jumps from Bill's office window. The impact of this event is profound, leading to Bill witnessing the horrifying scene of her bright green dress stained with her blood.
