Chuck defeats the Master by using an ex-wife's crucifix necklace to reverse his Trampire transformation after being bitten again during the climactic battle. He then works with Van Rental to destroy the Master using weapons and holy relics, with Van Rental staking the Master's liver.

The ending reveals Chuck's ex-wife at the circus, tying back to the circus billboard from his morning routine.
