Chatrapathy becomes a killer after Chakravarthy beats him and his sister, then demolishes the orphanage, causing the deaths of several children. This personal tragedy, losing his sister and the vulnerable children in his care, transforms the decorated army major into a vengeful assassin seeking justice for the atrocities committed against his family and community.

The opening scenes hint at Saravanan's violent capabilities through the mysterious deaths of local rowdies before the flashback reveals his true identity.

Kili is the bus cleaner who works alongside Saravanan and assists with running the orphanage. He provides comic relief and serves as Saravanan's loyal companion in his daily life. After the village attack, Chatrapathy kills Chakravarthy's henchmen but goes into hiding rather than pursuing immediate confrontation because he needs time to plan his attack and weaken Chakravarthy's political power.
