In autumn 2011, during a solo hunting trip, Eduardo stumbled across a dead bear. Driven by curiosity, he approached the bear with his knife, resulting in a shocking electrocution from a nearby source delivering 2400 volts, leaving him near death.

Eduardo was rushed to Salt Lake City’s Burn Trauma ICU, where doctors were astonished to find a living man with a heartbeat, despite his dire condition. This marked the beginning of a long, challenging road to recovery.

Eduardo spent a grueling 48 days in the ICU, undergoing a staggering 21 surgeries to address nine severe exit wounds caused by the electrocution. This difficult period was further complicated by his diagnosis of Stage 2 testicular cancer.

Despite their troubled relationship, Eduardo’s long-term girlfriend, Jennifer, rushed from England to support him during his recovery. Acting as his primary caregiver, she documented their tumultuous journey, capturing both the pain and perseverance of their experience.
