Jwala went to clean a businessman's telephone but found herself holding a handgun instead of a phone receiver. When the businessman was found dead with diamonds missing, she was immediately suspected because she was the only person at the scene holding the gun. The police assumed she had killed him and stolen the diamonds, leading to her arrest.

Jwala had noticed a chocolate brown Maruti car near the crime scene. Pandu later observed Murthy using a similar car and noticed him contacting jewelers outside Visakhapatnam. With Inspector Saumitri's help, Pandu shadowed Murthy and caught him confessing his crime to a jeweler, proving he had framed Jwala to steal the diamonds.

Earlier, Jwala's clue about the chocolate brown Maruti planted the seed of suspicion against Murthy.

Aunt Bala arrived for a family function and revealed that Chantabbai's mother was Sarmishta, the woman Gangadharam had loved. Pandu realized this matched his own mother's identity, making him the true Chantabbai. He remembered the hardships he faced as an illegitimate child and the societal ostracism he endured.

Earlier references to Pandu's difficult childhood and his connection to the orphanage hint at his true origins.

Both Kalyan and Pattabhi manipulated the blood test results to strengthen their claims to the inheritance. Since both brothers submitted falsified evidence, the test became inconclusive, leaving Gangadharam unable to determine the true heir through medical proof alone.

When Kalyan and Pattabhi kidnapped Pandu, he sent a letter pleading for help. Ganapathi noticed the number '1' written on the page and decoded it by reading the first letter of each word in the message.
