Love finds its way behind the prison walls when a trusted officer steps in to rescue a despondent executioner who has been attacked in a barroom brawl. A tabloid reporter, who actually incited the fight, pins the blame on the officer. As a result he loses his parole, grows bitter, and is later accused of murdering a guard.
