Bunny and the Bull

Stephen, an agoraphobic man, maintains a strict daily routine inside his flat, avoiding leaving due to his anxiety. His days are structured with specific activities, but his world shrinks further after discovering mice infestation. His routine is disrupted, prompting him to reflect on past events through objects and memories.

One day, Stephen notices mice in the kitchen cupboards, which heightens his anxiety and disrupts his daily routine. He considers buying mouse traps but cannot bring himself to leave the flat, deepening his withdrawal and fear of leaving his safe space.

Stephen reminisces about his trip across Europe with his friend Bunny, which was filled with bizarre museum visits and moments of personal disappointment. The trip marked the beginning of his emotional struggles after being 'friend zoned' by Eloisa, his love interest.

At a seafood restaurant in Poland, Stephen and Bunny meet Eloisa, a Spanish waitress. Eloisa recently left her boyfriend and plans to return to Spain, and she joins them on their journey, sparking complex feelings among the friends.

Bunny wins a bet that earns him a delivery car, which Eloisa then accompanies them on their journey toward Spain. Their dynamic becomes more complicated as Bunny starts showing romantic interest in Eloisa, causing tension in the group.

In Spain, Javier, Eloisa's brother and an aspiring matador, introduces Bunny to bullfighting. Bunny later steals Javier's prized matador suit, which results in a bet that Bunny loses, intensifying the conflicts among the friends.

Eloisa and Stephen share an intimate night together in Spain, and Eloisa begins to develop romantic feelings for him. However, she finds out about Bunny's theft of the matador suit, which leads to her breaking up with Stephen.

Bunny, seeking excitement, sneaks into a field to fight a bull after being rejected by Eloisa. Tragically, the bull kills Bunny, leaving Stephen deeply traumatized and overwhelmed by guilt, which triggers his agoraphobia.

Following Bunny’s death, Stephen retreats into his flat, where his guilt and grief lead to severe agoraphobia. He avoids leaving the apartment, and his mental state deteriorates as he remains confined for nearly a year.

Stephen imagines a conversation with Bunny’s ghost, who assures him that his death was not his fault. Bunny’s ghost encourages Stephen to talk to Eloisa, which inspires him to overcome his fears and seek connection.

Empowered by his imagined conversation, Stephen contacts Eloisa for the first time in years. This marks a pivotal moment where he begins to challenge his fears and consider leaving his safe space outside the flat.
