Despite her role as the bomber, there is a moment of unexpected compassion. Takaichi, the chief conductor, recognizes that Yuzuki is also a victim—someone broken by her own suffering—rather than simply a villain. Instead of reacting with anger or violence, he embraces her in a heartfelt hug, offering her forgiveness and understanding. In the end, the rescue efforts are successful in saving most of the passengers. The train’s coaches are decoupled, and a parallel train is used to evacuate people. When the authorities realize that the bombs are contained in a specific coach, they ingeniously derail it from the main train, causing it to crash into an empty land and ensuring everyone inside survives. The remaining hostages are evacuated, and the bomb threat is neutralized. The portal set up by Todoroki, which collected the crowd’s donations to pay the ransom, confirms that collective effort and unity have power in overcoming even the most dire challenges.

Ultimately, Yuzuki faces legal consequences, and the perpetrators involved are arrested, but her act of planting the bombs is also a cry for help rooted in her pain. The story closes with a sense of hope and the belief that through compassion and community, even the most destructive acts can be redeemed or understood. The film’s message emphasizes that human connection and understanding are stronger than hatred and violence.
