Brian and Charles

In the scenic rural Wales, solitary inventor Brian Gittins sifts through scrap materials in search of inspiration. During his search, he stumbles upon a mannequin’s head, sparking an idea to create an artificially-intelligent robot.

Despite his excitement, Brian's initial attempts at activating his invention yield no results. Frustrated, he faces yet another failure as his unusual gadgets continue to malfunction.

During a wild thunderstorm, Brian experiences an unexpected turn of events. To his astonishment, he discovers the robot he created has become miraculously activated and is now wandering outside his workshop.

The next morning, Brian learns that the robot has named itself Charles Petrescu after managing to master the English language simply by reading a dictionary. Brian is thrilled and begins to bond with his strange new companion.

As the days go by, Brian and Charles spend time together, filled with playful moments around the property. Brian enjoys introducing Charles to his surroundings, reveling in the innocence and curiosity of his new friend.

Brian and Hazel locate Charles at Eddie's place, but Eddie deceitfully claims that Charles came willingly. They are horrified to learn that he plans to burn Charles in a bonfire that night, prompting an urgent rescue mission.

Brian and Hazel rush to the bonfire just in time to rescue Charles from being burned. Chaos ensues as the trio is pursued by Eddie and his family through the town, escalating the situation into a dramatic chase.
