Boys Are Easy

Ching Sing is a hardworking father who has raised his children after his wife's death. To push his daughters toward marriage, he fakes a terminal illness and demands to meet each of their boyfriends at a family dinner. This ruse sets the stage for a series of romantic introductions and awkward dinners.

Siu Tung, a police officer, meets Simon Tse Sai, a male sex worker. She offers him money to be her boyfriend for one day so she can lie to her father. Simon agrees, and the staged romance launches his complicated feelings for her.

Simon begins the arrangement as a ruse to help her cover for the fake romance. Over time he falls in love with Siu Tung. Siu Tung starts to return his feelings as their relationship deepens.

Siu Nam, a social worker, meets Wu Ying, a poor gangster, and tries to join the underworld to win his affection. Wu Ying decides to leave the underworld and start a new life with her. Her pursuit tests her values but ultimately reshapes their future.

Siu Sze, a doctor, meets 27-year-old virgin Lee Chi Ko through one of her patients. To provoke him, she pranks him by tempting him to have sex, but the attempt fails. Nevertheless, he reveals he cares about her, and they fall in love.

Over dinner with all of their boyfriends, Ching Sing reveals that his pen pal Chi Sum Chan is coming to Hong Kong. The revelation heightens tension as the family anticipates meeting a guest who might threaten their schemes.

Chi Sum Chan arrives, but her obvious schemes to steal their father's money cause the daughters to resent her. The family grows to distrust her as she seems intent on exploiting the situation.

Gangsters break into the house to murder Siu Tung, but their attempt fails. In the chaos they seize Sum Chan and kidnap her, leaving the family stunned and fearing for their relative.

Sum Chan's kidnapping has an unintended effect: it makes the family happier and brings them closer. Her absence prompts the daughters and father to re-evaluate their relationships and loyalties.

Siu Tung's relationship with Simon continues to develop despite the initial deception. Meanwhile, Wu Ying and Siu Nam begin a new life together, and Siu Sze and Chi Ko nurture their romance.

Across all threads, the household learns to accept imperfect love and the compromises made for family. The father's meddling shuffles romance but ultimately reinforces their bonds.

Although Sum Chan's schemes and the intruding gang create chaos, the film ends on a light, humorous note. The story closes with a celebration of love in its many forms within a bustling Hong Kong family.
