Joyeeta leaves her village of Balurghat seeking a job in Kolkata. Her sister cannot accompany her due to their father-in-law’s illness. A kind stranger, Abhik, volunteers to guide her along the way, and what starts as a gesture of help evolves into a day spent in each other’s company.

Back in Balurghat, Joyeeta realizes she has fallen in love with the man who helped her. Abhik also imagines a possible visit to Balurghat to see her again, nursing the hope of a future meeting. The film hints that their feelings may be reciprocated, even as distance separates them.

In parallel, Noor Islam travels from Murshidabad to Malda in search of work. He encounters Rhea, a bold nurse who lives nearby and tests him with warmth and challenge. Their chance encounter marks the beginning of a complex bond formed through mutual testing and growing respect.

Rhea puts Noor through a series of trials to prove his commitment—organ donation, HIV testing, and meeting her father who is an acting sub-inspector. She also arranges a reunion with a former lover as part of judging his character. Noor learns what responsibility and steadfastness truly mean.
