ACP Vikram IPS is an honest cop living with his parents in Chennai. His family arranges his marriage to Mahalakshmi, and he begins balancing personal obligations with a demanding police career. He leads a team including Sathya, Akshara, and Prasad as they tackle crime in the city.

Vikram is tasked with tracking Aadithya Maravarman, a suave thief who has grown rich by jewel heists and bank robberies and is tied to drug trafficking. Aadithya is charismatic and dangerous, using his charm to evade capture. The pursuit forms the backbone of the conflict.

Aadithya comes into possession of an ancient manuscript that grants astral projection by looking into people's eyes, a power that makes him nearly unstoppable. This arcane ability lets him influence events from afar and complicates Vikram's investigation. The power dynamic shifts dramatically as the case progresses.

Vikram learns that his father has been blamed for the theft, fueling his resolve to bring Aadithya to justice and clear his father's name. He swears to stop Aadithya and protect his family from further harm. The personal stake sharpens the detective's mission.

Vikram pretends to be friendly and slowly gets close to Aadithya, exploiting trust until he gets Aadithya drunk and arrests him. The interrogation marks a turning point as the hunter becomes the hunted. The two minds begin a dangerous game across the same stage.

During interrogation, Prasad is suddenly killed by Sathya, whose body is now occupied by Aadithya. The crime shakes the team and demonstrates Aadithya's reach. Vikram realizes the body-swapping danger that now threatens everyone.

Aadithya, in Vikram's body, begins impersonating him while Vikram is unconscious, using the disguise to complicate the investigation and protect his plans. The ruse throws Vikram off balance and deepens the body swap premise. The city grows increasingly unstable as the imposter seems to hold the real power.

Aadithya visits Mahalakshmi at home, lusting for her and behaving with predatory charm that she initially misreads as playfulness. She does not immediately doubt the man who looks like Vikram, sensing romance after marriage. The encounter widens the rift between Vikram's personal and professional lives.

Vikram, trapped in Aadithya's body, escapes from prison by convincing Sathya he is not Aadithya, then calls Commissioner Rajkumar for help. Aadithya overhears the call and murders Rajkumar, cutting off a crucial line of support. The move escalates the stakes and accelerates Aadithya's plans.

Aadithya takes advantage of Sathya's revelation to Akshara by killing Akshara herself, eliminating a key witness and further sealing Aadithya's control. The personal threats intensify and Vikram finds his alliances shrinking. The tension builds toward the confrontation.

Vikram seeks help from Professor Chezhiyan, an archaeology expert who holds the manuscript; Chezhiyan warns that Aadithya's power works only in his own body. Aadithya confronts Chezhiyan, using him as bait to trap Vikram in a complex. The plot thickens as the chase moves into the manuscript's orbit.

In a climactic sequence, Aadithya switches his soul into Vikram's father Arumugam to thrash Vikram, and then into Mahalakshmi's body to stab him and threaten to murder her unless Vikram defuses the bomb. Vikram defuses the bomb and finally battles Aadithya along the coast, breaking his left hand and snapping his neck in a fight that seems to end him. However, the final frame reveals Aadithya surviving, glaring into the screen and leaving a sequel open.
