Ryan, an employee of the Vimuville health spa, sets out early in the morning to alert the residents of Pebbles Court about the illegal vitamin experiments targeting them. He attempts to record a warning on a dictaphone during his urgent drive but crashes his car as his body begins to mutate due to the overdose of vitamins. He is ultimately killed when tentacles sprout from his throat and smother him, retreating into his body before the police arrive.

Detective Sam Phillips and rookie Johnno are assigned to investigate Ryan's mysterious death. Their initial probe finds no obvious signs of trouble at Vimuville health spa, allowing Shaan to continue her plan of experimentation without interference. Ryan’s suspicious behavior and his death prompt the start of the investigation.

Cheryl Rand, a pregnant young woman, is the first to die from the mutated vitamins. Her placenta detaches and begins attacking her, while her unborn child explodes, causing her fatal injuries. Her husband Brian is wrongly arrested for her murder amidst the chaos, unwittingly caught in the deadly effects of the vitamins.

Dr. Carrera visits neighbor Paul Matthews, who shows signs of severe mutation, with part of his face rotted away. Matthews attacks Carrera with superhuman strength, prompting the doctor to give him a fatal overdose of sedative. However, Carrera forgets to take the sedative vial with him as Matthews' body is found afterward.

Young residents Sal and Gino attempt to travel to Vimuville to donate sperm but get lost and end up at Pud’s farm. The disfigured man and his mutated children attack and kill them, revealing Pud’s experiment roots and the disastrous effects of the vitamins on his own family.

Shaan, head of Vimuville, begins feeding residents of Pebbles Court with food laced with the mutated vitamins. The residents’ health rapidly declines, with children and adults succumbing to mutations and death while Shaan remains unconcerned, continuing her experiments.

Brandon, a boy from the Noble family, injures himself during a rollerskating accident, and his body disintegrates overnight. His family members, including Elloise and father Thompson, also fall victim to the vitamins, with their conditions worsening, culminating in Elloise’s head imploding and her mother dying from a long, choking tongue.

Shaan attempts to cover up her involvement by continuing her experiments, but she becomes a victim herself when Elloise’s antics cause her head to implode. Dr. Carrera arrives at Vimuville, finds the staff dead from mutations, and, overwhelmed, shoots himself to end his life.

Brian Rand, wrongly accused earlier, consumes the vitamins and suffers a projectile vomiting spree in the police station, dying from hypernatural causes. The coroner notes a new classification for such deaths, indicating the bizarre and deadly nature of the vitamin mutations.

In the film's closing scene, the mutated vitamins are found on store shelves, implying some were distributed before Vimuville was shut down. This highlights the widespread danger posed by the unchecked distribution of these experimental substances.
