Blade Babji is a quick-witted pickpocket from Rajahmundry who schemes to raise ₹4 crore to rescue the slum dwellers in his area from a ruthless builder. He and his tight-knit crew set their sights on Vizag, planning a bank heist that will fund their rescue mission. They manage to pull off the operation and bury the loot inside a building under construction. In a moment of celebration, they get drunk and fall asleep on a boat that unexpectedly sails to the Andaman Islands, forcing them into a month-long hiatus from their plan.
When they finally return, they discover that a police control room has appeared at the very spot where the money is hidden. To retrieve the stash, Babji gambles by kidnapping a recently recruited officer, Krishna Manohar, and takes command of his identity. His display of cunning and skill earns him the admiration of his fellow officers, and he even wins the police commissioner’s proposal to marry his daughter, Archana, into the force. The commissioner’s first son-in-law, Buchi Babu, senses Babji’s fraud and knows he’s been cheated before, but he remains quiet for now as Babji uses pressure and leverage to keep him compliant.
After a series of twists and tense moments, Babji and his gang locate the buried site and attempt to retrieve the loot by disguising themselves as a bomb squad. To everyone’s shock, the money has vanished. The real twist comes when the loot resurfaces in the hands of a mason named Dharma Rao, who had helped bury it. He stashes the money in a mattress, but his wife unknowingly sells it off as scrap to a street vendor. Dharma Rao files a police report about the missing mattress and offers a hefty reward to recover it. Babji finally tracks the mattress to a local don, Banda Badri. A police officer known as Simham overhears the lead and seizes the mattress, transferring the cash into a suitcase and discarding the original mattress. A constable, Edukondalu, happens to own a similar suitcase and ends up taking the suitcase with the loot by mistake. The chain of possession continues as the suitcase changes hands within Babji’s crew, and the group finally opens a suitcase, discovering the much-desired loot.
Meanwhile, Krishna Manohar escapes and reveals Babji’s fraud to the police. Babji and his gang drive off with the cash, while Simham, Badri, Buchi Babu, and Dharma Rao tail them along the highway. A separate terrorist faction places an RDX-filled suitcase into the mix, and Buchi Babu grabs this one, mistaking it for the real loot. A chaotic fight erupts over the two suitcases, the RDX detonates in the fracas, and Babji’s crew narrowly escapes with the cash.
In the climax, Babji is about to hand over the money to the builder when Badri interrupts, laying claim to the loot. The police arrive to arrest everyone, but Babji uses wit and persuasion to turn the situation to a brighter outcome. He convinces Badri and the authorities to relinquish the loot for a greater good. The builder, avoiding further trouble, agrees to donate the land to the slum dwellers for free. In the end, the loot is recovered and returned to the authorities, and the community breathes a sigh of relief, grateful for the clever plan that turned a near-disaster into a win for the people.
