Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship

Meera's third birthday is celebrated aboard the Sea-Bird by the ship's merchant crew. A strange sound draws her away from the party, and she screams as a ghost attacks. The incident sets a chilling, supernatural tone for the rest of the story.

Years after Meera's birthday, Prithvi Maurya elopes with his pregnant girlfriend Sapna, aided by his friend Riaz. They start a life on land together. Soon after, Sapna gives birth to Megha, and the family is shown raising her.

Not long after the elopement, Prithvi foils a human trafficking operation, risking his safety to stop the criminals. Riaz warns him that such dangerous ventures could have dire consequences. Yet Prithvi's determination to do what is right remains undeterred.

Prithvi and Sapna welcome Megha, a baby girl, into their family. The couple is shown nurturing her and building a home around their child. Megha's presence anchors the story in domestic life between moments of danger.

They recover the Sea-Bird's logbook from an abandoned port and begin to unravel its dark past. A couple on the ship is shown enjoying a romantic moment before being killed by a ghost, and the body of a girl is found buried on the beach.

While attempting to tow the Sea-Bird for disposal, their salvage ship is damaged. Prithvi is injured while saving a drowning man, and he glimpses a girl through a hole in the ship.

During their recovery efforts, Prithvi experiences disturbing visions of the ship, as well as Sapna and Megha. A memory surfaces of a river-rafting vacation that ended in tragedy due to improper safety equipment.

Prithvi seeks help from Professor Joshi, who studies the afterlife and reports his own haunting experiences. Joshi’s involvement deepens the mystery, offering both scientific and paranormal angles to the case.

Prithvi returns to the Sea-Bird and finds a video camera in the engine room. The ghost attacks again, but Riaz arrives in time to pull him to safety.

Prithvi becomes convinced that the girl he saw is Meera, possessed by the ghost for 11 years. He shares his theory with Joshi, who urges caution and a proper identification of the spirit.

Prithvi and Riaz meet Vandana, Meera's mother, who explains the Sea-Bird's drug-smuggling activities. She recounts Amar's attempt to help her escape, but Amar was captured and tortured.

Vandana agrees to reveal a hidden room aboard the ship as a last chance to save Meera. Joshi accompanies Prithvi and Vandana to the ship the night before towing; they confront the ghost, and Vandana admits she killed Amar to save herself, while Vandana and Joshi are killed in the struggle.

Prithvi locates Amar's corpse hanging in the secret room and burns the body to dispel the ghost. He rescues Meera and escapes through the hole in the ship.

In the epilogue, Prithvi teaches Meera how to eat noodles, signaling a hopeful future after the haunting. Their quiet moment contrasts with the terror they've endured.

In the post-credits scene, a black figure is seen moving around Prithvi's home, hinting that the danger may not be completely over.
