Daniel “Danny” Shekhar, an ex-Havaldar, Rana Daggubati and his driver cross the state border from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh on a night. The police at the checkpost stop them for carrying liquor beyond the permissible quota, but a drunken Danny, furious that his sleep is disturbed, beats them up. SI Bheemla Nayak Pawan Kalyan arrives and strikes Danny, explaining his offense. Danny insists that his destination was in Telangana, yet Nayak arrests him anyway since Danny has physically crossed into Andhra. A constable humiliates Danny by removing his panche, which only sparks his rage further.
The police file an FIR, and as they review his phone contacts, they are stunned to discover that Danny is the son of an influential politician and connected to powerful people. Nayak informs CI Kodanda Ram Murali Sharma, who urges him to treat Danny with respect. Nayak tries to reconcile, but Danny refuses to back down. Nayak threatens him with a gun, and the two sit down together. Danny demands a drink, and with no other option, Nayak opens a bottle from the seized liquor and serves it, a moment Danny secretly films on his phone. The next day, Danny is taken to court and sentenced to fourteen days in prison.
Danny’s lawyer secures a bail, but on the condition of biweekly appearances at the police station. In a calculated act of vengeance, Danny releases the recorded video to the press. Nayak is hauled in for questioning, and the case against him is opened. Danny challenges Nayak in front of the police station. The local villagers, staunch supporters of Nayak, threaten Danny, but Nayak stops them, insisting that their fight is personal. A local toddy shop owner, Nagaraju Rao Ramesh, holds a grudge against Nayak and joins forces with Danny. A senior politician brokerages a truce, promising that Danny would delay sending the evidence to SP and that his two-week appearance requirement could be waived. But, at the insistence of his father, Jeevan Kumar Samuthirakani, Danny sends the evidence anyway and Nayak is suspended.
The next day, Nayak retaliates by blowing up Nagaraju’s bar. Danny boards a bus to meet Nayak and tries to assert dominance, boasting that he made Nayak lose his job. Nayak retorts that even if the battle is lost, the war will be won. The police seize Danny’s vehicle and arrest the driver in retaliation. Meanwhile, Jeevan Kumar presents evidence to SP showing that Nayak’s wife Suguna Nithya Menen has been involved in smuggling forest goods, resulting in an arrest warrant for her. With this knowledge, Nayak and Suguna move with their baby to a remote forest hideout. Jeevan’s men track their location, steal Suguna’s phone, and threaten Nayak’s life. In response, Nayak attacks Jeevan’s men in a lodge.
Danny, unaware of his father’s actions, asks Nayak to stop the assault. Nayak then blows up Danny’s vehicle, and the two clash, until the police intervene. Kodanda Ram explains to Danny that Nayak is revered by the locals as a protector, nearly a village deity known as Kokkira Devara, making a direct confrontation risky. Danny learns that fifteen years earlier Nayak killed a ruthless contractor who preyed on tribal girls in order to save them, a deed the people remember as a guardianship.
Danny contemplates a possible settlement, but Jeevan Kumar refuses. On Jeevan’s insistence, the SP arrives at their home, and Suguna is arrested, further infuriating Nayak. He confronts Jeevan, forcing him to call Danny at gunpoint. Danny, who now has Nayak’s baby in custody, agrees to meet at Erra Thanda, a place outside the police jurisdictions of both states, for a final duel. They fight intensely, and just as Nayak is about to use his signature move of disarming the opponent, Danny’s wife arrives to plead for mercy. Nayak recognizes her as one of the tribal girls he saved long ago and grants mercy. The cases are withdrawn, and Nayak, who is transferred to Telangana, returns to Danny’s home. The two men are reintroduced and share a firm, respectful handshake, signaling a hard-won understanding and a truce between two rival worlds.
