Joe Bill Rack Ranklin and his partner Lonnie arrive to intervene in the chaotic scene. They manage to defuse the situation, but not before uncovering the husband's wild accusations about his wife cheating, which leads to surprising revelations about the supposed lover.

The enraged husband takes his anger out by destroying an innocent man's truck with a baseball bat, believing it to belong to the man he suspects is involved with his wife. Rack quickly corrects him, revealing that the truck actually belongs to someone else, leading to further complications.

Returning home late, Rack finds his girlfriend Cammie fuming and leaving him. In her anger, she accidentally destroys his cherished lawnmower, highlighting Rack's personal struggles alongside his duties as a deputy.

Sheriff Landry assigns Rack and Lonnie, along with another deputy named Skunk, the task of watching over two fertilizer tanks overnight. This new responsibility sets the stage for both humor and tension as they embark on an unusual night watch.
