Beauty and the Beast

An old beggar woman approaches a French prince seeking shelter from the cold, offering him a rose in return. Repulsed by her appearance, the prince turns her away, ignoring her warning not to judge by appearances.

The beggar reveals her true self as a beautiful enchantress and recognizes the prince's lack of kindness. In revenge, she casts a curse on him, transforming him into a hideous beast and his servants into enchanted objects, dooming him until he learns to love and be loved in return.

Years later, a young woman named Belle lives in a nearby village with her eccentric father, Maurice, who is an inventor. Considered 'odd' by the townsfolk for her love of reading, Belle continuously faces unwanted advances from the brutish hunter, Gaston.

Maurice sets out to a fair with a wood-chopping invention but becomes lost and seeks shelter from a storm at the Beast's castle. After encountering enchanted objects, he is captured by the Beast, who locks him in the dungeon.

Gaston organizes a faux wedding ceremony outside Belle's house, hoping to win her over. Despite his charm, Belle firmly rejects him, leading to a humiliating fall that damages Gaston's pride in front of the townsfolk.

Worried for her father, Belle discovers the Beast's castle and offers herself in exchange for Maurice's freedom. The Beast reluctantly agrees, freeing Maurice and allowing Belle to stay in the castle.

The Beast grants Belle a room in the castle but forbids her from entering the West Wing. Intrigued, Belle navigates her new life and begins exploring the extraordinary yet eerie surroundings.

Despite initial reluctance, Belle ends up having dinner with the Beast after he insists she will starve if she refuses. The enchanted household items attempt to create a magical experience during dinner to charm her.

While exploring the castle, Belle ventures into the forbidden West Wing and uncovers the enchanted rose and a portrait of the Beast as a handsome young man. The Beast, enraged by her intrusion, frightens her away.

After fleeing the castle, Belle is attacked by a pack of wolves in the forest. The Beast comes to her rescue, sustaining injury during the fight, which leads Belle to nurse him back to health, sparking the beginning of their friendship.

As time passes, Belle and the Beast's friendship deepens, culminating in a romantic evening where they share a dance in the newly enchanted ballroom. The staff hope that love will break the curse, igniting their desire for a happy ending.

When Belle learns that her father is sick and lost, the Beast selflessly releases her to find him, gifting her with a magic mirror. The compassionate act demonstrates his growing love for Belle, showing that he values her happiness above all.

Belle returns to the village only to face Gaston's manipulations, who incites the townspeople against the Beast. To protect her and Maurice, Belle exposes the Beast's kindness but is met with their disbelief and hostility.

After locking Belle and Maurice away, Gaston leads the villagers to storm the Beast's castle. While the enchanted objects defend their home, Gaston confronts the Beast, triggering a fierce battle fueled by jealousy and rage.

In a tragic turn, Belle confesses her love for the Beast as he lays dying from Gaston's stab. As the last petal falls, the curse is broken, restoring the Beast to his human form, while the castle and its inhabitants transform back into their former selves.
