In a secluded rural estate, a woman lies asleep and alone. Set near the early days of cinema, the film follows the obsessed and wealthy Dr. Epstein, who conducts peculiar scientific experiments on his adopted children, Pete and Re-Pete, and his flapper girlfriend, Baby Dee. The narrative takes a dark turn when Epstein strikes a bargain with suspicious wanderers, inadvertently opening a gateway to an unknown realm and unleashing a shadowy entity determined to reduce everyone it encounters to dust.
