During the last days of summer, a young girl and boy find themselves together as her departure date looms. Separately, a woman and a man unexpectedly begin a passionate affair. As she revisits the city she left as a child, he feels a sense of familiarity. Twenty years later, another couple finds their separation complicated by a deep, enduring connection that prevents them from fully moving on.
