Assault on a Queen

After a long search, a World War II-era German submarine missing for 20 years is recovered in the Bahamas by diver Mark Brittain. The rediscovery sparks new interest in its potential, including salvage value and hidden secrets. Rosa Lucchesi and her partner Vic Rossiter soon arrive and hire the sub, setting the stage for a larger plan.

Rosa and Vic hire the submarine and begin plotting a high-stakes scheme to raid a far larger target: the RMS Queen Mary crossing the Atlantic. They assemble a crew and resources, betting on the submarine's stealth and a convincing disguise. The operation is kept secret as they map the safest route and the timing of the heist.

Lauffnauer, a former U-boat officer, formulates the plan to stage a million-dollar heist aboard the Queen Mary while it sails across the Atlantic. The plan relies on impersonation of officers and exploiting the ship's security routines. The motive is clear: extract the loot without alerting authorities.

Brittain solidifies the team by bringing Linc and Moreno on board and restoring the submarine to working order. They test engines and check the sub's systems, preparing for the risky operation. The crew tightens its plan as the voyage nears.

Disguised as British submarine officers on a top-secret mission, the trio bluff their way aboard the Queen Mary and threaten the captain with a torpedo attack if the crew refuses access to the ship's cash. The tension rises as they demand compliance and secure the path to the safe. The ruse puts everyone on edge as the raid begins.

They locate the ship's safe and begin loading it with bags of cash, moving quickly through the ship while crew members go about their duties unaware of the intruders. The haul grows as the team considers the value inside and keeps a low profile under the threat of discovery. The operation unfolds under intense time pressure.

During a tense moment as they wrestle with a wealthy guest over a valuable ring, Rossiter is shot and killed by a member of the Queen Mary's crew. The sudden death heightens the risk and shatters the illusion of control aboard the ship. The intruders press on, trying to salvage as much loot as possible.

The surviving members flee to the submarine and attempt to depart with the loot, but Brittain is forced to abandon the stolen money when Lauffnauer plans to dive without him. The fractured alliance and the loss of money raise the stakes and threaten their survival. The raid's momentum collapses as they break contact with the Queen Mary.

A clash aboard the submarine erupts as Lauffnauer pushes for control, and during the chaos he accidentally shoots his ally Moreno. Brittain and Linc struggle to regain control of the mission while avoiding detection. The internal collapse foreshadows a disastrous turn for the operation.

Lauffnauer manages to fire the submarine's torpedoes, but a U.S. Coast Guard cutter destroys them before they can reach their target. The failure drains what little chance remains for a windfall. The pursuit tightens as the coast guard closes in.

The Coast Guard cutter closes in and rams the submarine, killing Lauffnauer in the explosion. Brittain, Rosa, and Linc dive into the sea to escape the sinking craft. The raid ends in a wreckage of triumph and tragedy, with three survivors slipping away.

Brittain, Rosa, and Linc drift away in a small raft with no loot and head toward South America. They must improvise their futures while evading authorities who might trace the heist. The film closes on a note of uncertain prospects as they fade into the vast Atlantic.
